The presence of a Toastmaster at any event can be guaranteed to add that extra degree of style and panache. It is for this reason that their services are increasingly being sought, particularly with regard to charity events.

Given the nature of these events and the worthwhile causes they support it is perhaps not surprising that Toastmasters are often asked to donate their services gratis or for a reduced fee. It is to be expected therefore that a professional Toastmaster will receive a number of such requests, each relating to an extremely worthwhile cause.

Whenever possible, I am always delighted to assist and support such events. Unfortunately, there will invariably be more requests than it is feasibly possible for me to undertake and still keep the proverbial wolf away from the door.

It is for this reason that I have made the conscious decision to agree to undertake a maximum of six such functions a year. These events are undertaken free of charge, with the exception of any unavoidable expenses e.g. costs associated with travelling.
